Yes for Tesco in Goring

In the interests of balance, should Tesco wish to have their views aired on this Website or if there are others in favour of Tesco in our village, then we will endeavour to present both sides of the argument.

Local Residents

Tesco sent this statement on 21st December 2013 to some residents in Goring.

The Henley Standard

The Henley Standard contacted Tesco and received the following reply from Beth Greenhouse, Tesco Corporate Affairs manager on Thursday 19th December:

“We would like to open an Express store at the former Queen’s Arms pub. Our proposed store would offer a fantastic range of fresh groceries and convenience goods. We hope local people will find the store ideal for top up shopping in between a larger weekly shop. We plan to improve and restore the existing building, which has been closed for some time now, and look forward to consulting with the community over our plans in the coming weeks.”
